WiFi On Board Most boats
already have a WiFi system installed on
the boat. But, depending on its
age, it may be time to upgrade.
Older (pre 2007) WiFi Access Points (WAPs)
had a maximum strength of 200mW, which
provides fair coverage.
Newer WAPs are available, up to 600mW
which greatly increases coverage.
Note that additional power greatly
improves coverage between decks,
watertight doors, and foil coverings
used to insulate between walls.
